Description: Bienvenue à UpStaged Vintage The price of this large, heavy vase includes FREE shipping from France to most US, UK and European addresses A delightful West German vintage floor vase, I believe it to be by famous WGP maker Scheurich, though it has no labels. In a classic shape, with a tapered neck, the matt ground glaze is a pale beige with darker brushstroke lines and a matt teal band with glossy black crosses around it. Inside it has a glossy glaze in a similar turquoise teal to the decorative band. It will hold a large flower arrangement, dried flowers were popularly displayed in these in the 1970s. An ideal gift for anyone with a love of West German pottery and a delightful prop for any production set in the 1960s or 70s or a retro vintage scene. Marked on the base with the numbers 537 / 40 537 is the form number, but the numbers after that are the height in centimeters, so it indicates it is 40 cm tall. Approx measurements: Height - 40 cm / 16 inMax diameter - 19 cm / 7½ inRim diameter - 10 cm / 4 inBase diameter - 11.5 cm / 4½ in In VERY GOOD vintage condition with no chips or cracks, but there are signs of age and marks to the outer surfaces, particularly on or near the base.
