This is a description from a museum web site online: Object Name: Toaster Date: 1920 circa Description: Toaster, stovetop, c. 1920. Four-sided pyramidal toaster of tin-plated sheet iron. Holds four slices of bread. Sides have rows of rectangular holes that protrude grater-like. Sides constructed from one piece of metal, joined in center of one side and held closed on interior by small metal flaps formed when three circular holes were punched through from the exterior. Sides attached to square flat base with rounded corners, 1.25" wide, with two raised lines around base and two additional lines around corners.
