Description: Description: A very nicely decorated UNMARKED German glazed stoneware stein with a pewter lid. Decorated with white raised flowers, possible poinsettia.The stein is shaped in a round fashion and it is flutted .. The stein has an applied handle having the hinge for the pewter lid attached to it. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Uncertain, but most likely sometime in the mid 20th century Size: Measures ~3 1/4" diameter at the base, ~3 1/4" diameter on top, ~6 1/4" at its widest including the handle, and is ~4 3/4" high to the top of the lid. Maker: Unknown. UNMARKED Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice piece of breweriana pottery with very nice floral raised white decoration. Condition: The piece is in very good condition with no cracks, chips, hairlines, or repairs. The stein has few to NO signs of general crazing to the glaze both inside and out,The lid is intact and the hinge is solidly in place. The top of the lid has some minor soiling and staining and could probably benefit from a good cleaning to bring out its full beauty. This stein will display very nicely in your collection. It is a bit soiled and would probably benefit from a good cleaning. This is a very nice piece, which would make a nice addition to your collection.
