Description: This is a vintage 1970's Sun Set Malibu 11.5 Inch Barbie Doll Made In Japan wearing her original swimsuit. ~ Needs TLC . This version of Sun Set Malibu Barbie that was made in Japan was only made in Japan from 1971 thru 1972 . Printed on her bottom : 1966 Mattel , Inc./U.S. Pat. Pended/ U.S. Pat. Pend./Made in Japan It looks like someone once had plans to re-root her and give her a new life but never got around to it. The top of her head has a split as you can see in the photos . Hands and feet are in nice shape. Face is still very pretty. Body needs a good cleaning.(see photos) It looks like someone tried to repair the swimsuit as you can see by the picture .
