The Metropolitan Opera in New York still has the postcard drawing by the artist. Husband of soprano Gina Ciaparelli , voice teacher of Enrico Caruso , were married in Rome in 1899 . In 1901 they settled in New York. Director of Columbia Records on 21 February 1907during the tour of Giacomo Puccini in the United States recorded the composer's voice and that of his wife, now reproduced in a commemorative CD of Puccini's greatest performers.
