Description: This is a NAVAL family group of medals spanning both wars. WW1 Victory Medal correctly impressed to T.L. 1523 W. TINKLER A.B. R.N.V.R. William Tinkler was in Anson Btn. Royal Naval Division and was awarded a Meritorious Service Medal. He was also entitled to a Star & War Medal. (Unfortunately these last three are not present). WW2 medals belonging to his son, William D. Tinkler. He has 1939-45 Star, Atlantic Star, & War Medal. The WW2 medals are unnamed as issued but come in a named Navy box with the transmittal slip. There is also the telegram sent to his father notifying his sons death. William D. served on HMS Escapade. It was re-fitted with 'Hedgehog' anti-submarine weaponry. This mis-fired and killed 15 ratings. Sorry about shaky photo! See my others. I do not accept offers unless the listing allows it. It will not get any cheaper, I would rather keep it in my own collection. I will combine postage if the weight allows. IMPORTANT BIT PLEASE READ: Postage costs are payable by buyer. ALL postage is by a 'signed for' postage service. Overseas postage is handled by Ebay Global Shipping Program. Contact for more options. I cannot accept responsibility for items damaged or lost in the post, however, I always get proof of posting. Powered by eBay Turbo Lister
