Back saw by Beardshaw & son

Description: Saw-Offered is a split nut back or dovetail saw with a cast brass medallion marked J. Beardshaw & Son, Sheffield. Nut on medallion shaft looks to be a brass washer rather than a nut. Blade is 12" long, 3 3/4" wide including steel back, 11 TPI, no missing teeth but do vary in condition. Steel back is marked J. Beardshaw & Son, Cast Steel. Handle is good with a couple of chips, one on top of horn & a small one on bottom. Blade is stained but not necessarily pitted. A pretty nice old saw. Buy with confidence!
