Description: Up for bid is an original antique preowned- Cast Iron Embosser Seal Hand Stamp Bexar County, Texas . Found at a family estate sale. This seal stamp press is made of durable cast iron and in good working order. It has an image of a ship’s anchor on each side. It shows minor general wear from use and storage, but is missing a piece of the top cast iron arch on the left side. This does not affect the working functionality of the embosser. Seal reads: “Notary Public, County of Bexar, Texas.” Bexar County was formally established as one of the original 23 counties of the Republic of Texas on 17 March 1836. At the time, it included most of Texas to the north and west of the current county as well as parts of what are now New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas, and Nebraska. Between 1845 and 1876, roughly 128 new Texas counties were created from what was previously Bexar County's territory. Today, Bexar County, Texas has 1,240.3 square miles of land area and is the 37th largest county in Texas by total area. Bexar County, Texas is bordered by many other counties.
